Customers have successfully connected SurfPrep sanders to other brands of dust extractors without incident of static electricity and maintain full functionality of auto on/off features. SurfPrep sanders can easily connect to DIY STYLED vacuums with parts we provide. However, in these cases SurfPrep DOES NOT guarantee freedom from static electric shock. Often this occurs when lower priced DIY vacuums do not have the appropriate grounding components to prevent static shock. SurfPrep fabricates all sanders & dust extractors with static conductive components.
